This is a brand new section that I'll be filling up with any computer, business and home office related samples, services etc. that I find. It's a bit stark right now, but I'll do my best to get new stuff added within the next week.

Super Fast, Online Virus Scanner
Panda (one of the big names in virus protection) now has a super fast online scan for PC users, they say it detects more than 1,037,854 viruses, spyware and other malware. I can't test this one myself right now because I'm on a Mac now, but I'm told it scanned the entire drive in around a minute! For PC users only.

Giveaway of the Day
Every day this site has a new, full featured, legally registered software title available at no cost! There's no catches, spyware, adware or any junk like that in them either. To get these, you must download and install the software within their giveaway window (24 hours).. that's it! I've got quite a few great image programs from here as well as a few other programs.

Free Clipart
This is a huge archive of completely free clipart and there's no pop ups, registration required and the advertising is very minimal compared to most clipart collections. They do ask that if you find something you like, you give a link back, and trust me.. it's well worth it! There's clipart, animations, backgrounds, page dividers and a lot more... it's also searchable so if you're looking for something specific it will be easy to find.

Firefox
After going on a bit of a website design spree the last few months I gotta tell you that Internet Explorer really is not the best browser, by a long shot! I've used Firefox since is was in beta and while I was redesigning, and making a few new sites I started to remember why I switched when I had to test sites in IE. From both sides, as the regular surfer and the creator of websites.. I'm asking people to give Firefox a try. If you don't like it switching back is easy, but I bet you won't want to after a bit of using Firefox.

Free Online Virus Scanner
This one found something very bad in my computer that 3 other anti-virus programs missed! Their online test can scan your entire PC, including mounted drives to test for malware. Sadly it only works with Internet Exploder, but it's still a great scanner to use as a back up to give yourself a bit of piece of mind.

This very useful piece of software will look for and clean your computer of nasties like trojans, worms, dialers, hijackers, spyware and keyloggers. They have a free 30 day trial, and after the trial is over it will run in limited (but free) mode (which is still pretty good!). Very much recommended that everyone scan their PCs on a regular basis. My experience recently proved (unfortunately) that anti-virus protection is no longer enough.
